The Development Control section of the Planning Service is looking to recruit multiple roles. This section is responsible for planning applications, pre-applications enquiries, advice and appeals.

• Senior Planning Officer - Development Control

  SO1 - £53,197 - £59,998 per annum

  The role will entail dealing with a wide range of development control work including major development proposals, to assist and support the Development Control Manager by taking responsibility for the supervision of the development control team, including the development and mentoring of the Assistant and Trainee Officers. The post holder will have no direct reports but will work closely with Planning Officers in Development Control. He/she will be responsible to the Development Control Manager and accountable to the Director of Planning.

  The role will entail working as part of a team dealing with a wide range of Development Control work including planning applications, pre-applications enquiries, advice and appeals. The post holder will be responsible to the Development Control Manager and will work closely with other professional staff in the Development Control team.
