The former St Peter Port School has been refurbished as a base for some College of Further Education courses, the Schools' Music Service, Youth Commission and Youth Theatre. The buildings also provide additional facilities for some education support services.
The refurbishment works began in June 2011 and were completed in August 2012 allowing the return of the Brock Road site to the States to be redeveloped as much-needed social housing.
The site is known as Les Ozouets Campus and is home to the College of Further Education's Hair and Beauty courses, Adult Education Centre, Secretarial and Administration courses, Business Studies and Professional Studies and also provides facilities for the Youth Commission, Youth Theatre, Schools' Music Service and the Department's Sexual Health & Relationship Educators (SHARE).
The works have been planned to allow the buildings to be used on a medium-term basis for around ten years before new campus buildings will need to be constructed, as and when States funding allows. It is intended that these new buildings will link with the existing Princess Royal Centre for Performing Arts to provide a single campus for the College which currently operates from 3 different sites.
