The States' Trading Supervisory Board (STSB) is looking for experienced business leaders to bring additional commercial expertise to its diverse portfolio of operations.
Our business activities comprise an airline, two airports, electricity supply, postal services, waste management, dairy production, commercial harbours, marine leisure facilities, water and wastewater services, a lottery, and ownership of fuel ships. Altogether, the Trading Group has combined assets of more than £650 million, and in 2019 employed more than 1,300 islanders and recorded annual turnover of more than £200m, The STSB provides governance and political oversight.
We have recruited advisers from the local business community to join our various boards, including Guernsey Water, States Works, Guernsey Dairy, Guernsey Waste and Guernsey Ports (which oversees Guernsey Harbours, Guernsey Airport and Alderney Airport). Due to a number of vacancies, we are now looking to refresh our pool of candidates. This could also identify potential future non-executive directors for Aurigny, Guernsey Electricity, Guernsey Post and JamesCo.
