The Health Promotion Unit is taking a stand at the Home Life Show at Beau Sejour from the 8-10 November 2013 to promote their healthy lifestyle courses. The stand will be in the David Ferguson Hall number B81 and will have information on the range of services available through the Unit.

Health Promotion Manager, Yvonne Le Page said: "We provide a variety of different services and we thought the Home Life Show was a great opportunity to show how we can help people Eat Wise, Move Wise and Live Wise. We will have leaflets on all the different courses available as well as information on many aspects of keeping healthy. This includes our weight management courses, Quitline Smoking cessation service, Health Trainers, our free walking programme, the Hope course for those recovering from Cancer and our community cooking initiative. Our staff will be able to answer a whole range of questions on how to include healthy routines into your daily life so I would encourage everyone to come to our stand to see how we can help."

The Health and Social Services Minister, Deputy Mark Dorey is also supporting the Unit's venture.

Deputy Mark Dorey said: "It can sometimes seem difficult to squeeze keeping healthy into our busy lifestyles but I would encourage everyone to visit the Health Promotion Unit's stand to see how they can help. They will have information on all aspects of keeping healthy from stopping smoking to losing weight to taking enough exercise. Please do take a look to see how they can help you and how you can programme more healthy activity into your daily routines"
