Thursday 19 March 2015
Following the Environment Department's recent publication of the draft Island Development Plan on 16 February, the Environment Department and Policy Council are jointly holding a third informal Saturday "drop-in" event at Le Friquet Garden Centre, Castel on Saturday 28 March 2015 from 09:00 until 12:00, at which all are welcome.
Environment Department Forward Planning Team members will be on hand to discuss the content and proposed policies contained in the draft Island Development Plan, whilst members of the Policy Council's Planning Inquiry Administration Team will also be available to advise on the public Planning Inquiry which is currently taking place in respect of the draft Plan.
Environment Department Minister, Deputy Yvonne Burford, said:
"The two previous Saturday drop-ins were both very well attended and provided Members of the public with an excellent opportunity to meet with the relevant team members face to face to ask questions about the draft Plan and also to find out about how to engage with the Planning Inquiry process. Feedback from the public at and after the events was very positive. We welcome the opportunity to hold a further similar event on Saturday 28 March 2015."
The draft Island Development Plan is at present undergoing an independent public planning inquiry which is being administered by the Policy Council and representations about any part of the draft Plan can be submitted until 17:00 on 10 April 2015.
