Media Enquiry from Guernsey Press:
Can the department please answer the following question following an incident at Albecq, Castel on Friday night where a car came off the road and almost went over the cliff face.
-Are there any plans to make the area safer (railings for example), considering the various accidents that have happened in the area over the years?
-If yes, when will this happen and what will they be?
-If no, is this not a major accident waiting to happen?
Environment Department Response:
The Environment Department will be liaising with the Police to ascertain the exact cause and circumstances of the accident and then investigate if and what measures can be taken at this location.
