Media Enquiry from Guernsey Press:
I am currently working on a story about the transport strategy. One of our stories from last October mentioned that development of a car-share website had begun. I was wondering if the department could please provide an update as to how it is getting on with this. How far through development is it, when is it planned to go live, how does the department envisage it working, how much has it spent developing it. If development has stopped, can the department please say why it has stopped, when it stopped, how much it had spent on it and whether it considers it a priority.
Environment Department Response:
In the absence of Strategy funding, this project had not been investigated in detail but in light of the recent States decision it will be prioritised accordingly and considered further in due course.
