Update - over-night Public Parking

Friday 06 November 2015

Media Enquiry from Open Lines Column, Guernsey Press:

I would like to know what will happen if I go into Town on a Saturday night and leave my car there overnight and take a taxi home as I do at present, after Sunday opening is brought in. Will I be at risk of a parking ticket if the bus doesn't get me into Town soon enough on Sunday morning?

Environment Department Response:

The Environment Department wishes to assure your reader that until such time as a decision is taken to change the legislation, the parking arrangements will remain as they currently are.

Any decision to change the legislation will be based on necessity and demand evidenced by peoples response to Sunday Trading.
