Additionally, The Institute of Health and Social Care provides a range of training and education opportunities for those in the Bailiwick in Guernsey. This includes a number of academic pathways from vocational qualifications through to post-graduate programmes. The educational opportunities enable staff to achieve qualifications relevant to the role they hold or aspire to within Health and Social Care, whether this role is a Healthcare Assistant, a specialist practitioner or a manager. Regardless of background, experience and existing qualifications, there is something for everyone:

• Gain a registered nurse (Adult) qualification on Island - BSc (Hons) in Nursing in partnership with Middlesex University London with no tuition fees and a bursary of £19,000
• Become a Student Social Worker by studying to obtain a degree and professional qualification in Social Work over a 2/3 year full-time programme. Tuition fees and travel costs will be covered in addition to a salary as you gain practical experience while working in the area you are training in. • Vocational qualifications in Health and Social Care, teaching and learning, leadership and management
• Diploma in Higher Education to become an assistant practitioner, entry gateway into nursing degree
• Post qualifying Programmes - up to Masters Level including a pathway leading to a PGCE
• Social worker training through Robert Gordon University, exploring an option in collaboration with Jersey
