Guernsey Tickets

A new GuernseyTickets website will be launched later this month, providing a brand new booking platform to improve customers' online experience.

"Having listened to a variety of feedback from our customers, we wanted to make sure the service provided by GuernseyTickets was convenient and secure for all. Although the old booking platform served us well for over ten years, as part of a larger IT project, we made the decision to replace with a more modern and integrated solution going forwards", said Sam Herridge, Head of Recreation Services, whose staff team manage the bookings service.

The new GuernseyTickets website will go live later this month and is designed very much with the customer in mind. The platform will allow the use of modern technologies such as QR codes. This will mean that ticket holders, if they wish, will be able to present a digital version of their tickets on their smartphone, which can then be scanned at the door of the venue.

As a result of the system changeover, customers will not be able to book any on-line tickets until the new system is in place. "Unfortunately, customers visiting the GuernseyTickets website over the next couple of weeks will see a holding page in its place. Although we really do apologise for this inconvenience, we can assure people that tickets are still available by phoning 747200 or by popping into the event venues and purchasing over the front desk", said Mrs Herridge.

Once the new system goes live, customers can submit their feedback regarding the new website, or the overall functionality of the system to guernseytickets@gov.gg.

"We realise that with any new system, minor changes and tweaks may still need to be made after the 'go live' date. We would really like our customers help in making sure the system is the best it can be, so would appreciate any feedback about the new system as soon as it goes live", said Mrs Herridge.

From July St. James Concert Hall will be selling tickets independently for events at their venue via www.stjames.gg or by calling their box office on 01481 711361.
