The independent panel reviewing States' Members' pay levels is inviting the community to have their say by completing a short survey that will help inform its work.
Individual members of the public, business groups, and private and third sector organisations are invited to complete the survey, which will take about five minutes and is published on the States' website at www.gov.gg/statesmemberspay
The Independent States' Members' Pay Review Panel will consider pay levels for the range of States' Member and Non-States Member roles. It will then recommend whether the current levels of pay are appropriate for the varying responsibilities, given that the new structure of government has now had sufficient time to establish.
A report is likely to be taken to the States for debate during the first half of 2019.
Any recommendations would be intended to apply following the General Election in June 2020 and will not impact Members during the remainder of this political term.
In addition to the online survey, comments can be submitted by writing to the Independent Pay Review Panel, Sir Charles Frossard House, La Charotterie, St Peter Port, GY1 1FH.
The consultation closes on 15th October 2018 and the results will be published in the Panel's report.
