Following customer feedback, the Revenue Service will no longer be automatically issuing repayments or reminders for small balances (under £20.00).
Customers will still receive statements and assessments advising them of their final tax assessment. However, the statement will confirm that small debts will not be chased.
Small credit balances will remain at a customer's account, unless they request that it is paid. Any credits over £20 will still be sent automatically.
Sarah Davies, Head of Service Delivery for the Revenue Service, said:
'The Revenue Service values customer feedback and has established an annual survey to capture it on a more formal basis. From this, the service continues to look at ways in which it can change and improve the way customers access the service. Stopping issuing reminders and repayments for under £20 is only one example. We will continue to update the community as more changes are implemented'
