One lucky islander could be in line for a bumper windfall this Christmas.
The first prize in the 2021 Channel Island Christmas Lottery Draw stood at £630,852, with the draw taking place in Jersey this evening.
Sixty-six other winning ticket numbers are also in the draw , for prizes from £500 up to £50,000.
All the winning numbers will be published on the Channel Islands Lottery website (www.cilottery.org) at 6.30pm.
The proceeds from the Christmas draw will go to charities and other worthy causes throughout the Channel Islands.
Guernsey registered charities or not-for-profit organisations operating within or for the benefit of the Bailiwick of Guernsey are now invited to apply for funding from the Small Grants Programme through the Social Investment Fund.
Under the programme, organisations can apply for a grant of up to £25,000 to put towards one-off projects or ongoing expenses of a year's duration, such as salaries or running costs. Applications can be made at www.sif.gg.
