A private patient is someone who funds their treatment themselves or through their private health insurance. Depending on speciality, private patients may be able to choose which consultant they see and may have some increased flexibility over appointment and treatment times.
Private inpatients have access to a private ward which has single en-suite rooms and an "a la carte" menu. HSC's current private patient fee schedule for surgical procedures and some other medical fees can be found in the downloads to the right of this page. However, should you be unable to find the fee that applies to your procedure, please contact our Private Patient Liaison Officer on 220000 x 4328.

Please note that visitors to the island with whom we do not have a reciprocal agreement for medical costs, or without relevant travel or health insurance will be charged fully for all treatments. Please check your insurance policies or if your originating country has a reciprocal agreement with Guernsey.
