Practical & Theory Driving Tests

On this page you will find information on learning to drive, driving tests and recommended driving schools.

Theory and Practical Driving Tests can be booked online at: www.traffic.gov.gg.

The following measures are in place as part of our mitigations against COVID-19:

A candidate taking a practical or a theory test or a person accompanying on a practical test must not attend if they have COVID-19 or have COVID-19 symptoms. In these circumstances, a candidate should notify Driver & Vehicle Licensing and they will be given a free online token to rebook their test to a future date.

Due to the limited size of the theory test suite, it is recommended that a candidate wears a face covering whilst sitting a theory test.

In regards of a practical test, a candidate is recommended to wear a face covering if practical. The candidate/instructor should ensure the door handles and driving controls have been wiped down before the test commences.
