EU citizens are our friends, colleagues and neighbours and we want you to know your rights will be protected after Brexit.
The EU Settlement Scheme is for EU/EEA/Swiss citizens and their family members, who are currently resident in the Bailiwick of Guernsey, or will be by 31 December 2020. Applying is entirely free. It doesn't matter how long you have lived in the Bailiwick of Guernsey, you will still need to apply.
So far we have received and granted over 3000 applications. Although you have until 30 June 2021 to apply, it would be best not to leave it until the last moment, to give us ample time to process your application.
We can hold workshops for employers too, all they need to do is get in touch with us.
You'll find more information in a variety of languages down the side of this page.
It doesn't matter if Brexit happens with or without a deal - we encourage you to apply at your earliest opportunity. The scheme means your rights to healthcare, work arrangements, access to benefits and public services will remain unchanged.
Remember, it is free.
Applications must be made in person at the Immigration & Nationality Division of the Guernsey Border Agency, New Jetty, White Rock, St Peter Port, Guernsey, GY1 2LL
Applications cannot be made online.
Please note that Guernsey's Population Management Law, and any domestic laws managing employment and residence in Alderney and Sark, remains in place and may affect an EU citizen's ability to continue working in the island, depending on their individual circumstances.
More information about Guernsey's Population Management Law can be found at this webpage, or by viewing our Frequently Asked Questions document.
