This combination would involve a major development east of the QEII Marina at St Peter Port Harbour, to create extensive new port facilities.
A computer generated fly through, showing the key features of Combination 3, can be viewed here.
All current freight and passenger operations at St Peter Port would move to this new harbour, which will include a new passenger terminal.
The Cambridge Berth and most of the New Jetty areas would then released from harbour operations, freeing up valuable space for potential development. A large area of 'the pool' in St Peter Port Harbour would also be available to offer more leisure marine facilities, providing some capacity for larger private boats and opportunities to expand the island's Blue Economy offering.
As with the other combinations, the current maintenance requirements for the existing infrastructure will be addressed. The cruise liner tender berth at St Peter Port Harbour could also be extended, to improve the visitor experience, with shorter queue times and better arrangements for embarkation and disembarkation.
It is assumed the current arrangements for fuel imports at St Sampson's Harbour would continue.
