The Treasury and Resources Department is pleased to announce a limited issue of Guernsey £20 notes to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
The Diamond Jubilee £20 note will circulate alongside the current £20 note and has the same design as the existing note, but incorporates the following commemorative features:
Additional wording "On the occasion of the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty the Queen"
Special prefixed numbering beginning 'QE60'
A new commemorative design within the Laurel Wreath featuring the letters E:R and the dates 1952 - 2012, surrounded by the words "Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee"
The Diamond Jubilee £20 note has an issue limit of just 150,000 pieces. The new notes will be issued to local banks as from Thursday 31 May 2012 and should appear in circulation shortly after.
