The second 'Let's Take Time to Talk' drop-in will be held on Saturday 15th May, from 10am to 12noon, at the Tourist Information Centre.
The drop-in is an opportunity for members of the public to speak with senior politicians about any topic in an informal setting.
The first 'Let's Take Time to Talk' drop-in was held in December and proved popular with around fifty Islanders attending. The feedback was positive indicating a desire for more drop-ins to be held. It had been hoped the second would take place in February however due to the lockdown earlier this year, it had to be postponed.
At the drop-in on Saturday, six senior States Members will be available for Islanders to speak with. They will include four members of the Policy & Resources Committee - President Deputy Peter Ferbrache, Vice-President Deputy Heidi Soulsby, and Committee members Deputy Mark Helyar and Deputy David Mahoney - as well as the President of the Committee for Education, Sport & Culture, Deputy Andrea Dudley-Owen and the President of the Committee forHealth & Social Care, Deputy Al Brouard.
Deputy Heidi Soulsby said
'We were really pleased with the turn-out at the first of these drop-ins and the feedback was really positive. Our community clearly want opportunities like this to discuss with their deputies the issues that are on their minds. I'm hoping we'll see another good turnout this Saturday. Whatever you want to talk about, you are very welcome to stop by and we look forward to seeing you.'
