Channel Television Enquiry:
The Guernsey Press are today reporting Geomarine estimating the Vazon sea wall repair will cost more than the £500,000 spent on the Perelle mend.
Environment Department Response:
The Environment Department does not, at this stage, intend to speculate on the possible capital cost which will to a large extent depend on the design solution adopted, but it is clearly apparent that the magnitude of the damage is on a par with the Perelle breach.
