Talk To Us

There are many different ways you can engage with the States of Guernsey.

For example, by sending in your complaints, compliments or comments or by contacting Deputies directly, so they are aware of your views on topics to be debated at States Meetings, you can help shape the future of the Island.

When changes to policies or services are being considered, the States will actively consult with relevant organisations and individuals to find out their views and opinions on proposals before changes are decided. When large numbers of responses are expected, consultation will often be in the form of a structured questionnaire. All the topics that are open for comment by the public are listed below and the latest information on previous consultations is available here.

The States also regularly conducts surveys to collect data from organisations and individuals to inform research, for example to measure performance of existing policies and services or to determine anticipated levels of demand for new services.  The results are often published for general use and as with most surveys, the more responses that can be gathered, the more reliable the results are. Surveys that are currently available for you to complete are available here too.
