Valuations of States of Guernsey investment funds have been finalised for the second quarter of 2016.
The Policy & Resources Committee and the Committee for Employment and Social Security Committee administer three significant investment funds with combined total assets of just over £2.7 billion. These are:
- the Long-Term Fund; including the Superannuation Fund, which underpins the pension arrangements for public sector employees plus the Core Investment Reserve
- the Medium-term Fund and Cash Pool, which includes the Capital Reserve
- the Common Investment Fund, which underpins the social security provision for islanders.

Please note each of the funds has a different liability; this is reflected in different return objectives, risk profiles and investment structures. As a consequence the returns are not comparable.
As at 30 June 2016, the valuations of the funds were:
- Long-term Fund £1.561bn
- Medium-term Fund & Cash Pool £321.9m
- Common Investment Fund £837.3m
