The President of the Policy & Resources Committee will take over the gov.gg Twitter account tomorrow evening (13th October) for a live Q&A on Future Guernsey.
Deputy Gavin St Pier will answer questions from social media users between 7pm and 8pm, using Twitter to further engage with the community on the newly-released plan.
Future Guernsey was released on Monday and seeks to express in clear and unambiguous terms what the States will be doing to enable government, business and the wider community to plan with confidence for the island's long-term future and prosperity.
It outlines actions the States must take, working with the whole community, in order to meet its 'unashamedly ambitious' vision.
Deputy St Pier said:
"It is really important that the whole community takes an active interest in Future Guernsey. It is not only a programme for government, but a vision that requires the buy-in of the whole island if it is to succeed. As such it is vital that islanders have an opportunity to discuss, and question, the direction being proposed.
Being an active Tweeter myself, I am well aware of the power of social media and hope this Q&A prompts a lively and informative discussion on Future Guernsey."
Twitter users wanting to ask Deputy St Pier a question can simply tag @gov.gg in their tweet.
