The Committee for Employment & Social Security are looking for a small number of islanders to take part in an in-depth group discussion session about the challenges people might face if they want to continue working up to, or past, pension age.
The discussion will form part of the Longer Working Lives project, and will help to identify the barriers people face and workers' concerns. This will then help the project team determine which key issues need to be addressed as part of the ongoing workstream. The Committee is due to report back to the States with proposals in late 2017.
The project team are looking for people who are currently working (of any age) who are interested in talking about their recent experience or future concerns about the challenges of continuing into their 60s or beyond. It is intended to include people who undertake a wide range of different jobs.
Commitment will be for one session only, with the date and time to be arranged. Anyone interested should contact the project team by emailing longerworkinglives@gov.gg or calling 01481 732546.
Anyone not currently working but who has relevant ideas, concerns or views they would like to share with the team about working for longer, is also encouraged to make contact.
