Inspections of Le Rondin and Forest Primary have highlighted the outstanding leadership, ethos and equality of opportunity for pupils.
The inspections, carried out by Her Majesty's Inspectors (HMIs) through Education Scotland, found children at both schools were motivated to learn and teachers strived to ensure the best possible outcomes for every pupil.
Both schools were also recognised for their warm, inclusive and welcoming cultures. In the case of Le Rondin, Education Scotland said the ethos resulted in independent children motivated to learn and be the best they can be. The inspection of Forest Primary highlighted that its children are articulate and creative, with their views being valued by staff.
Paula Sullivan is the headteacher of both schools and was praised, along with her deputy heads and senior staff, for 'outstanding' leadership, commitment and vision.
Mrs Sullivan said both schools were delighted that their hard work had resulted in such positive inspection reports.
'Staff and pupils across both schools work incredibly hard and the recognition of that in these reports is fantastic for them. The numerous strengths and successes of both schools are evident throughout the inspection reports. However, we are not complacent. We want to continue improving and striving to give all our pupils every opportunity to be as successful as they can be. Despite the positives far outweighing areas for improvement, there are nevertheless things that we can and will focus on as part of our drive for further success.'
Deputy Matt Fallaize, President of the Committee for Education, Sport & Culture, said:
'I congratulate Paula, her teams at both schools and all pupils on what are hugely positive inspection results. Of particular note, I think, is the praise for the leadership of both schools and the recognition of their excellent cultures, and how this directly influences the educational outcomes for students. I know that staff and pupils throughout both schools will remain motivated to achieve even greater success in the years to come.'
