Extra-curricular activities are those undertaken by children and young people outside of the normal school curriculum.
There are many opportunities for young people to take part in a wide range of extra-curricular activities from sport and music to dance, drama, youth groups and uniformed organisations.
Such activities can provide the opportunity to make new friends, learn new skills and undertake new challenges.
Schools often offer after-school clubs and activities. For further information contact your child's school direct.
External Providers and Support Agencies Working with Schools
All schools works with a range of suitably experienced and approved external providers and support agencies to help deliver learning and support the curriculum in certain areas, particularly Personal, Social, Health and Citizenship Education (PSHCE).
We have an established Policy which sets out the framework under which schools work with these external providers and support agencies. A copy of the Policy is available in the downloads section of this page.
