The Commerce and Employment Department has today published its 2012 Business Plan and Review of 2011.
The Business Plan sets out what the Department intends to achieve over the forthcoming year and provides a means for stakeholders to assess the Department's performance.
"The Commerce and Employment Board continues to publish its annual Business Plan as part of its commitment to communication with States Deputies and other external shareholders," said Deputy McNulty Bauer, Minister Commerce and Employment. "We have set out the key priorities across the Department for next year against which we will monitor progress and our performance - in that regard it is a key internal management document. At the same time it provides a useful means of informing our stakeholders what our priorities for the next 12 months will be. Clearly a new Board will be elected following the April Elections and may wish to review the priorities and work streams and publish an updated version in due course.
The Department has also published a review of its performance in 2011 outlining progress against the targets the Department set itself at the start of the previous year.
Deputy McNulty Bauer said "The review highlights some of the Department's major achievements over the past 12 months and the Board believes it has established solid foundations and a legacy for the incoming Board to build upon in the next term."
