If you are new or have recently returned to the island, you and your family must register with Social Security. Paying contributions gives you and your family insurance protection and the payments entitle you to claim various benefits.
There are two ways you can register with Social Security:
In Person
- You can download and complete a
registration form [640kb] and bring it in, or you can collect it directly from Edward T. Wheadon House (level 3).
- If you are self-employed you will also need to complete an
application to pay earnings related contributions. [580kb]
- If you are non-employed or over pension age you will also need to complete an
application to pay income related contributions. [572kb]
By Post
