The Housing Department is responsible for the overall co-ordination and management of the Corporate Housing Programme to fulfil the States Housing Strategy. It provides and manages social rental housing administered by the States.
The Housing Department is also responsible for the controls on housing occupation through the administration of the Housing Control and Right to Work Laws and also manages Longue Rue House and Maison Maritaine residential care homes.
The Housing Department oversees and co-ordinates a wide range of initiatives which form part of the States Corporate Housing Programme. These include, providing and managing 1,700 social housing properties, co-ordinating the maintenance, refurbishment and modernisation of those properties, administering the Housing Control and Right to Work Laws and managing Longue Rue House and Maison Maritaine residential care homes.
